My intercom unit came with a clip already — why would I need to buy this? +
The original clip that comes in the box can break, crack, or get lost over time — especially with daily mounting and unmounting. This pack of 2 lets you keep a spare so you're never stuck with a loose or broken mount mid-tour. Many riders also buy this to set up a second helmet permanently, so they can swap the intercom unit between helmets in seconds without reinstalling anything.
Will this clip fit my V6 Pro Plus unit? I've seen other EJEAS clips on the market that look similar but don't fit. +
Yes — this is the genuine EJEAS clip specifically for the V6 Pro Plus, Q8, Q7, Q2, MS8, and MS20 models. The key difference from the old V6 Pro and V4 Plus clip (sold separately on our store) is the locking tab size and slot depth. If you have a V6 Pro Plus or Q8, this is the correct one. If you have the older V6 Pro or V4 Plus, that's a different listing.
Does the clip work on open-face and half-face helmets, or only full-face? +
It works on all helmet types — full-face, modular/flip-front, open-face, half-face, and adventure helmets. The clip attaches to the outer shell of the helmet using the included 3M adhesive pad. As long as the helmet shell has a flat or mildly curved surface of at least 3–4 cm, the clip will hold securely. The only helmets it may not suit are very heavily curved or textured shells where the adhesive pad can't get a flush contact.
How do I install this clip? Do I need any tools or will it damage the helmet? +
No tools needed and no damage to the helmet. Clean the attachment area with the included alcohol wipe, peel the 3M adhesive backing off the clip base, and press firmly onto the helmet shell for 30 seconds. Then slide your intercom unit into the clip until it clicks. The 3M adhesive holds the clip firmly but can be removed cleanly — it won't peel paint or leave marks on most helmet surfaces. Allow 24 hours for the adhesive to fully cure before your first ride.
The clip on my existing unit has cracked and the intercom wobbles — will just replacing the clip fix the wobble? +
Yes, in almost all cases. Wobble and rattling on EJEAS intercoms at speed is caused by a worn or cracked clip, not the intercom unit itself. Replace the clip and the unit will sit flush and firm again. Make sure you also check the slide-in rail on the intercom unit — if the plastic tabs there are also worn down, the clip alone won't fully solve it. If the rail is intact, a new clip is all you need.
