The clip in this bundle is the Q8/V6 Pro Plus style clip, not the old V6 Pro or V4 Plus clip. If you plug the Q8 audio module into a different EJEAS model, you'll get no sound or damage the port.
My Q8 audio cuts out intermittently while riding — is this a speaker problem or a mainboard problem? +
Intermittent audio cutout on the Q8 is most commonly caused by a loose or partially failed speaker connector, not the mainboard. Before replacing the speaker set, try unplugging the audio module from the Q8 port and plugging it back in firmly. If the cutout persists, the speaker module is the likely culprit. If the audio fails completely on both sides simultaneously and the unit doesn't respond to button presses, that points more toward a mainboard or battery issue.

Yes. The mounting clip comes with a 3M adhesive pad pre-applied to the base. Clean the helmet shell with an alcohol wipe before sticking, press firmly for 30 seconds, and let it cure for a few hours. The adhesive holds very firmly on flat or mildly curved helmet shells and can be removed cleanly without peeling paint. Avoid very rough or heavily textured helmet surfaces where the pad won't make full contact.
How do I install the new speakers in my helmet? Where exactly do they sit? +
The Q8 uses flat adhesive speakers. Remove the cheek pads from your helmet (most snap out easily), peel the adhesive backing from the speakers, and press them into the speaker pockets in the cheek pad foam — positioning them level with your ears. If there are no pre-cut pockets, stick them directly to the foam. Route the mic boom inside the chin bar area of the helmet. Reconnect the cable to the Q8 port and slide the unit into the freshly mounted clip. Total time: under 10 minutes.
