Frequently Asked Questions
Do both rider and pillion need a separate unit, or does one work for both? +
Each person needs their own unit — one per helmet. This listing is for 1 unit only. For rider + pillion you'll need 2 units. The V6 Pro Plus supports up to 6 paired units, but only the host and one other person can talk at any time. To talk with your pillion, pair both units and the host selects 'sub-device A.'
Can the 5 other paired riders talk to each other, or only to the host? +
Only the host can initiate calls to any of the 5 paired devices — the other riders cannot call each other directly. If you need all riders to freely talk simultaneously, the Q8 (Mesh 3.0) is the right choice. The V6 Pro Plus is best for two-person use: rider + pillion, or two riders together.
My phone keeps auto-answering on its own — how do I turn it off? +
The V6 Pro Plus auto-answers incoming calls after 5–8 seconds by design — it's a safety feature so you don't need to press anything while riding. To reject a call, press the Phone button once when it rings. It can't be fully disabled from the device buttons alone but can be managed from EJEAS app settings.
Does any Type-C cable work for charging, or only the included one? +
The V6 Pro Plus uses Type-C but several buyers report it only charges reliably with the original EJEAS cable in the box. Third-party cables — even branded ones — sometimes don't charge or charge very slowly. If you've lost the original cable, we sell genuine EJEAS replacement charging cables separately on the store.
The real-world range is much less than 800m — is my unit defective? +
Not necessarily. The 800m spec is in open terrain with zero obstacles. In typical Indian riding conditions — city traffic, buildings, trees, curves — practical range is 300–500 metres, sometimes less in dense areas. This is normal. For rider + pillion on the same bike it's more than enough. If range drops below 100m, clear all pairing records and re-pair fresh.
